About this Training

From backlog manager to product leader, the full leadership picture

What to Expect

Product leadership has a clear scope. Most people only ever practice part of it. This training walks you through every dimension, from setting direction to leading partners you don't manage.

Delivered across 3 sessions, each one covers a distinct dimension of product leadership. Attend all three for the full picture, or focus on the session most relevant to where you are right now. Each one is instructor-led, structured, and designed to give you knowledge you can apply the same week.

Training Breakdown

One training. Three parts.

Each part covers a distinct dimension of product leadership. Attend all three to understand the complete picture.
1
Part One
Setting Direction — Vision, Strategy & Alignment
This session covers how product leaders set a direction the whole team can follow, and how senior stakeholders stay bought in.

Learning Objective

Understand how business strategy translates into a vision a team can execute against
Recognize what makes a strategic tradeoff land with executives versus get rejected
Understand the difference between OKRs that measure outcomes and ones that track output
Recognize the signals that mean direction needs to change
2
Part Two
Running The Team — Rituals, Roles & Accountability
With direction set, this session covers the operating rhythm — meetings, roles, and decision rights — that keeps a team moving.

Learning Objective

Understand what makes a product ritual useful versus a waste of time
Recognize how decision rights split between PM, design, and engineering leads
Understand the difference between coaching through ambiguity and solving it for someone
Identify early signs of team dysfunction before they stall delivery
3
Part Three
Leading Without Authority — Cross-Functional Influence
The final session covers how product leaders lead partners they don't manage, through influence and shared incentives.

Learning Objective

Understand what makes cross-functional relationships hold up under pressure
Recognize when disagreement with a stakeholder needs escalation, and when it doesn't
Understand how to communicate a roadmap change without eroding trust
Explain what "partner or die" means in practice for a product org

How it Works

Structured Learning. No Fluff.

Built from real leadership

Every framework comes from how product leaders actually run teams, not management theory from a textbook.

Useful whether you're setting direction for the first time or already managing up to executives.

Real Cases

Every concept is walked through with real prioritization calls needed and stakeholder conflicts, not just theory that will go unsed.

A framework you keep
